Random Tuesdays with Summer RoseIn this 3rd video episode of Random Tuesdays, I talk the talk and walk the walk. Clydesdale style!

Check out my past episodes and don’t forget to randomly check in again next Tuesday.

Who knows? Maybe I’ll have another random episode for ya.

Jackson Fall Living DigitallyI recently met 13-year-old Jackson Fall at WordCamp Dallas. Jackson might be young, but he doesn’t think like a kid when it comes to technology, business, and social media.

He not only has a video blog / podcast (at LivingDigitally.tv), but he’s also a freelance graphic and web designer. When I asked if he was going to start a business, he confidently answered “I have a business.”

Smart and driven, Jackson also told me that he is inspired by people like Cali Lewis, he loves Diggnation, and would like to work for a company like internet television network Revision3.

Here’s the short video interview, which includes his impromptu application to Revision3:

diegoliathstop5_logo_socialnerdiaFrom great advertising and branding to incredible art, design, music, films, and anything worth a second look or  second thought, this is Diegoliath’s weekly source of creative inspiration. I’ll use this space on the web to showcase some of the things that brighten my day and re-ignite my creative thinking. So here we go!

cameronstrang_relevant_socialnerdiaFor the 3rd episode of The Social Nerdia Show! I interviewed Cameron Strang, founder and CEO of RELEVANT Magazine, a magazine that has become a leading voice among 18-34 year old, faith motivated individuals.

I have been a big fan of Relevant for many years so it was more than awesome to chat with Cameron to learn more about him and the company. You can stream the conversation on the BTR player below or download the podcast on iTunes, and read some of my thoughts below.

relevantcollection_socialnerdia_smWhen asked about why he started the magazine, Cameron said that he wanted “to make a difference” and that at the time ”there was no magazine that blended life issues, faith, and culture.” The foundation of it all was Relevant Media Group, which still provides media and web consulting services, followed by the release of relevantmagazine.com, and finally the first issue of RELEVANT Magazine in 2003. Cameron and Relevant have been able to create creative, fun and thought-provoking media that has spread through word of mouth, a strong online community, and grassroot efforts. (more…)

domineconcept_cannes_socialnerdia_sm2 The Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival is the largest gathering of ad professionals and the home of the most prestigious annual advertising awards. At this year’s event, visitors have been able to experience an intelligent, multi-user “Touchwall” that will serve as an information hub for the event. And what a cool info hub they’ll be able to play with!

Schematic, a WPP Digital company, announced that its propietary 12-foot long by 5-foot high interactive “Touchwall” will allow people to get instant access to the complete festival program, 3D maps of the event and local area, and even search capabilities so attendees can contact each other and schedule meetings.

But that’s not all. The “Touchwall” experience begins when attendees place their badge against it. An equipped RFID reader authenticates the badge and opens up a personalized workspace. Because the wall is so large, multiple people can use it side by side. They can exchange business cards, tell marketing jokes, and actually laugh out loud as they enjoy the wall’s greatness. No emoticons necessary. (more…)
