Social Nerdia is a blog about the convergence of technology + marketing + social media, and the people / sub-cultures making it possible.

 Social Nerdia was created by Esteban Contreras in March of 2009 as a creative outlet. Esteban also hosts The Social Nerdia Show! (blogtalkradio live podcast) and has interviewed influential industry leaders from companies like Adobe, Seesmic, GM, Kodak, TechCrunch, Relevant Magazine, Current TV, CP+B, Radian6, and more.

Esteban recently joined Samsung as Social Media Manager. He previously worked as a technology and business consultant, as well as the development of marketing strategies for companies in the retail, automotive, fashion, non-profit, corporate real estate, and wine industries. Originally from Guatemala, Esteban spent many years in Texas before moving to Jersey City where he now lives with his wife Somerlea (who contributed to the site in the past through the Random Tuesdays video series).

  Great friends like @diegoliath (who writes the “Creative In5piration” series), @jonsterp, @domineconcept, and many more have contributed with blog posts, appearances on The Social Nerdia Show!, design ideas, and much appreciated advice.
